Refresh for Shopping Centre’s Outside Areas

With so many people visiting Dereham every day, it's important to us that we keep the area looking fresh and appealing to our visitors - we want people to come back after all!

Over the summer months, the outside areas of the shopping centre have had a significant spruce up and refurbishment. The flowers are now looking glorious with the addition of 18 new hanging baskets and new planting in the ground level planters. All of the 11 bench seats have been sanded down, varnished and freshly painted and the walkways have been power washed and all chewing gum removed.

Other upgrades to ensure the safety of shoppers include the installation of three new dropped bollards to prevent unauthorised vehicles accessing the pedestrian areas and the CCTV system has also been upgraded and now provides comprehensive coverage of the whole shopping centre.

We have improved the facilities for the town centre management team with the installation of a new staff toilet and kitchenette in the storage area behind Starlings toyshop.

More improvements still to come include fence repairs and the re-lining of the car park during October.
