Christmas lights switch on!
November 14th 2019
Community events are one of our favourite things to host. It’s a great opportunity for the people of Dereham to come together in celebration of a special occasion. We host as many of these events as possible and are always on the lookout for new ways to bring the community together.
Christmas is the perfect time to do this!
What better way to kick of the Christmas festivities than with the annual Christmas Light Switch on in Dereham!
The Christmas lights in Dereham Shopping Centre will be switched on at 5pm on Thursday 28thNovember. Come along to Wright’s Walk between Starlings and QD for heaps of festive fun!
We welcome everyone to come down and join us in all the festive fun. The event is free and there will be something for the whole family.
There will be food, drink and craft stalls open from 2pm. These will include the Hope Coffee Company, Ethnik Penzy African crafts, Wildcraft Brewery, Rai the Spice Man, UV eco-glitter by Sheila, and if you’re feeling peckish, the waffle van as well as donuts and candy floss.
Christmas entertainment will start at 4.30pm with Toftwood Junior School choir singing festive favourites and then the children will lead the countdown to the big switch-on.
There will be further live music during the evening and many of the stores will be open for late night shopping.
If you require any more information on this event, we encourage you to get in touch with us through our contact page.
We look forward to seeing you then!
